Armchair by Soriano Afra & Tobia Scarpa, Cassina, 1970s
Armchair by Soriano Afra & Tobia Scarpa, Cassina, 1970s
We found the iconic Soriano armchair in Italy. We decided to give it a new look in the form of high-quality burgundy cotton velvet. The upholstery was entrusted to professionals who returned the chair to its original quality and comfort. It has two wheels at the front and two feet at the back, making it easy to move around the interior. On the underside is the original Cassina label.
The Soriana was designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in the late 1960s and won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1970. Known for its distinctive silhouette and the metal belt that holds the entire upholstery, it is now one of the most sought-after Italian design pieces of the 20th century.
This is a collector's and investment piece whose value only increases over time.
