About us

How does Lavish work?
Founder Vlaďa Ilavská regularly visits antique fairs, vintage furniture warehouses and workshops abroad, where she selects original pieces in various styles. In her studios in Bratislava and Prague, you can therefore find a selection of furniture from different eras: bauhaus, art deco, mid-century modern from the 1950s, but also space age from the 1970s or playful postmodern.

Where does the furniture come from?
The furniture comes mainly from Italy, France, Denmark, but also from other European countries. He mainly chooses snacks from Slovak and Czech design.
The imported Lavish pieces are then inspected, cleaned and, if necessary, renovated to last for decades to come. Experienced craftsmen are involved in the renovation process - restorer Miro, upholsterer Janko and electrician Patrik.
“I want to pass on values to future generations in this way.”
The Lavish team is complemented by two experienced colleagues, Natália in Bratislava and Bojana in Prague, who you can meet in the studios. Both ladies can advise you on choosing the right vintage pieces for your home to make it unique.

Vintage hunting
Finding vintage treasures is neither quick, nor easy, nor convenient – “But the feeling when I find them is unforgettable!”
You can experience vintage treasure hunts with Vlada on Instagram , where she documents her travels, captures the atmosphere, and shows off all the furniture she imports. Subscribe to Lavish newsletters and stay informed about upcoming trips and news.
Why Lavish?
“Once, when I was studying a book about the Art Deco style in English, I came across the word “lavish”. I admit, I didn’t know its meaning, but I really liked the way it sounded.
And when I translated it - I didn't hesitate for a second."
