''EKSTREM'' armchair, Norway, 1980s
''EKSTREM'' armchair, Norway, 1980s
The iconic ''EKSTREM'' chair by designer Terje Ekstrøm for the Stokke Varier brand is an icon of Norwegian postmodern design from the 1980s. The chair was designed by the author in 1972 and waited a whole decade before it went into production in 1984.
Playful lines and distinctive upholstery offer not only a visual experience but also surprising comfort. It can be sat on in various ways, it is also ideal as a reading chair with arm support. We recommend coming to our studio to try it out. The chair has the original fabric, which has a patina but is fully functional. Upon request, we can reupholster it in the fabric of your choice.
