Ceramic space age wall lamps, Italy, 1970s
Ceramic space age wall lamps, Italy, 1970s
The wall lamps come from Italy and date back to the late 1960s and early 1970s. They are in the shape of a ball with a cutout in the middle for a light bulb. They are made of ceramic and have a darker blue glaze.
This is a typical example of space age design - a style that responded to the fascination with space, planets and futuristic forms. Similar "eyeball" lamps were created in the workshops of several important Italian manufacturers and designers of the time, such as Goffredo Reggiani or Carlo Nason for Mazzega. The lamps have been checked by an electrician, they are fully functional and in very good condition.
The price is for a set of 2 pieces.
