Postmodern espresso set by Morinox & Monopoli, 1980s
Postmodern espresso set by Morinox & Monopoli, 1980s
The Italian postmodern espresso set is the result of a collaboration between manufacturers Morinox (metal parts) & Monopoli (porcelain). It dates back to the 1980s, which is reflected in its design.
The Monopoli porcelain cups with black linear decor are set into 18/10 stainless steel holders by Morinox. A characteristic functional detail is the hollow tubular handle, which also serves as a holder for a coffee spoon.
The set includes 12 cups and saucers, 12 original spoons, a sugar bowl, and serving trays. The combination of porcelain and stainless steel is durable, easy to maintain, and the individual porcelain cups can be removed from the metal holders. The set is in excellent condition; in this quantity, it is truly a collector's item.
