Studio Lavish

Vladimíra Ilavská

How does Lavish work?

Founder Vlada Ilavska regularly visits antique markets, vintage furniture warehouses, and workshops abroad, where she selects original pieces in various styles. Therefore, in the studios in Bratislava and Prague, you can find a selection of furniture from different eras: Bauhaus, Art Deco, mid-century modern from the 1950s, as well as Space Age from the 1970s, or playful postmodernism.

The furniture comes mainly from Italy, France, Denmark, and other European countries. She mainly selects gems from Slovak and Czech design.

The imported Lavish pieces are then inspected, cleaned, and renovated as needed to serve for decades to come. Experienced craftsmen are involved in the renovation process - restorer Miro, upholsterer Janko, and electrician Patrik.

"I want to pass on these values to future generations."

The Lavish team is complemented by two experienced colleagues, Natália in Bratislava and Bojana in Prague, whom you can meet in the studios. Both ladies can advise you on choosing the right vintage pieces for your home to make it unique.

Vintage hunting

Searching for vintage treasures is neither fast, nor easy, nor comfortable – “But the feeling when I find them is unique!”

You can experience trips for vintage treasures together with Vlada via Instagram, where she documents the journeys, captures the atmosphere, and shows all the furniture for import. Subscribe to Lavish news and you will always be informed about upcoming trips and news.

Why Lavish?

"When I was studying a book about the Art Deco style in English, I came across the word 'lavish'. I admit, I didn't know its meaning, but I really liked the way it sounded. And when I translated it - I didn't hesitate for a second."
