Playful Richard Ginori plate set, 1980s
Playful Richard Ginori plate set, 1980s
This set of playful white porcelain plates comes from the iconic Italian manufactory Richard Ginori. The minimalist shape of the plates is complemented by a bold geometric decor in shades of purple, green, and pink, typical of the modernist aesthetic of the second half of the 20th century. They are marked on the bottom and are in excellent condition.
The set consists of:
6 dessert plates, 4 dinner plates, and 3 soup plates
Richard Ginori, now Ginori 1735, is among the oldest and most prestigious European porcelain manufactories. It was founded in 1735 in Doccia near Florence, and throughout its nearly three-hundred-year history, it has collaborated with prominent figures of Italian design, including Gio Ponti.
